How we use it and why

UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for each use of your data. Ours are below.

  • Replying to your enquiry and arranging calls: legitimate interests (responding to people who contact us), or steps before entering a contract

  • Delivering our services, including tech packs, fit reviews, grading and factory communication: contract

  • Invoicing you and keeping business and tax records: legal obligation

  • Sending occasional, relevant business emails to brands we think may benefit from our services: legitimate interests. You can opt out at any time

  • Understanding how our website is used and improving it: consent (non-essential cookies)

  • Keeping our website secure and working: legitimate interests

We never sell your personal data. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share it with

We share your data only with trusted providers who help us run the business, and only what they need.

  • Squarespace: hosts our website, contact forms and website analytics

  • Cal.com: manages call bookings

  • Google (Google Workspace): email and file storage

  • Canva: displays our embedded portfolio

  • Our accountant: bookkeeping and tax

  • Manufacturers and factories: only with your agreement, when we communicate with them on your behalf as part of a project

We may also share data if required by law, for example with HMRC or in response to a court order.

International transfers

Some of our providers, such as Squarespace, Cal.com, Google and Canva, may store or process data outside the UK, including in the US and EU. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US Data Bridge.

When we work with manufacturers outside the UK on your behalf, we only share the project information needed, and only with your agreement.

How long we keep it

We keep your data only for as long as we need it.

  • Enquiries that don't lead to work: 12 months from our last contact

  • Client project files and correspondence: 6 years after the project ends

  • Invoices and financial records: 6 years, as required for company tax records

  • Website analytics: in line with Squarespace's retention settings

After these periods, we securely delete or anonymise your data.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website.

  • Essential cookies keep the website secure and working. They don't need your consent

  • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site. We only use these if you accept them in our cookie banner

  • Third-party content, such as our embedded Canva portfolio and links to Instagram and LinkedIn, may set their own cookies. Their own privacy policies apply

You can change your cookie choices at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
