I’m a freelance garment technologist with 14 years of production battle scars, specialising in womenswear denim and jeans, with experience across most of womenswear.

Jeans are my favourite kind of technical headache. Fit, fabric, wash, shrinkage, grading and construction all have to play nicely together, and when they don’t, I want to know why.

You bring the fit issues, grading disasters, confusing factory emails, test results you don’t understand, wash problems and weird questions.

I’ll bring ways to save you samples, time and unnecessary costs, answers to your questions (about clothes, see a doctor about your other thing), what to say to the factory so they realise you know your shit, and a plan for when something inevitably goes wrong.

I really like figuring out why something has gone wrong, rather than fixing the obvious problem and moving on. If there’s something further back in the process that we can change so you don’t end up with the same issue again, I want to find it.
